XIII–XV a. Vokiečių ordino valstybėje buvo 20-25 komtūrijos, stambesni administraciniai teritoriniai vienetai – (vok. Komtureien).
Komtūras – pareigos Vokiečių ordine ir Livonijos ordine, analogiškos kitų riterių ordinų komandorams. Komtūras vadovavo komtūrijai (vok. Kommende ar Komturei, angl. commandry). Komtūrams pavaldūs buvo prokuratoriai.
