MPs quiz Cameron over £170m arms export licences for Russia.
March 20 2015
David Cameron was last night under pressure to explain why Britain has granted arms export licences to Russia worth almost £170 million despite the conflict in Ukraine.
MPs are demanding to know whether any of the 248 licences — which cover items such as spying software, ammunition and components for military helicopters — violate European Union sanctions.
A study by the parlliamentary Committees on Arms Export Controls said that the government has refused to say publicly who is on the receiving lines of the licences.
