Viešųjų ryšių specialistė (ne propagandistė!) Rūta Vanagaitė sako, kad Lietuva pasipriešinti Rusijos propagandai turi nedaug galimybių, nes mūsų žiniasklaida yra nepriklausoma, todėl nepuls vykdyti valstybės užsakymų, kaip kad Rusijoje.

Kaip skolomis valdomas pasaulis yra nuo skolų nepriklausomas...

Vat, jei Lietuvos žiniasklaida būtų priklausoma, jei pultų vykdyti valstybės užsakymus, kaip kad Rusijoje, tai gal ir pasipriešintų!

The word is properly the ablative fem. gerundive of Latin propagare (see propagation). Hence, "any movement to propagate some practice or ideology" (1790). Dauguma lietuvių nepasitiki Rusijos televizijos kanalais ir jų skleidžiama propaganda, tačiau taip pat nepritaria šių kanalų draudimams.

Radijo ir televizijos komisija pažymi, kad kanalų transliacijų draudimas trims mėnesiams buvo kraštutinė priemonė, ir abejoja, ar Seime praeis šiuo metu svarstomos pataisos, kuriomis rusiškų kanalų transliacijos būtų stabdomos dar ilgesniam laikui.

Kabelinių televizijų asociacijos duomenimis, rusiški kanalai Lietuvoje prieinami šešiems šimtams tūkstančių televizijos žiūrovų. Neturima duomenų, kiek dar žiūrovų rusiškus kanalus žiūri per palydovą arba nemokamai internetu.

Aeroflot halts low-cost flights amid new EU sanctions.

Russian airline Aeroflot has cancelled all the flights of its new low-cost arm as increased European Union sanctions over the Ukraine crisis caused its aircraft leasing agreements to be scrapped.

The EU announced punitive measures on the airline, Dobrolet, last Thursday when it expanded its list of sanctions on Russia to include 95 people and 23 organisations who were subject to travel bans and asset freezes.

In a statement on its website, Dobrolet – which launched in June – said it had been “forced to temporarily suspend flights on all routes”.

The firm, which is partly owned by the state, said the sanctions imposed resulted in the cancellation of contracts under which it leased Boeing 737-800 planes. The airline added that European firms had refused to provide services, including flight information, repair and maintenance.

Passengers flying between Dobrolet’s base in Moscow and Simferopol, a city on the Crimean peninsula that Russia annexed from Ukraine in March, will be transported on the carrier’s sister budget airline, Orenair. Other passengers will have their tickets refunded.

Dobrolet, which was unveiled in October last year as a budget airline for domestic Russian destinations, carried out its first flight to Simferopol in June.

It currently serves seven other cities in Russia using Boeing 737 aircraft and had expansion plans for other destinations.

Putin on notice: Two U.S. stealth bombers head to Europe for first time amid tension

Two U.S. B-2 Spirit stealth bombers are being deployed to Europe for the first time. The deployment of the advanced aircraft will be used for “short term deployment” at Fairford, a Royal Air Force base in England — just three hours from Russia.

“This deployment of strategic bombers provides an invaluable opportunity to strengthen and improve interoperability with our allies and partners,” said Adm. Cecil Haney, commander of U.S. Strategic Command, CNN reported Tuesday.

“The training and integration of strategic forces demonstrates to our nation’s leaders and our allies that we have the right mix of aircraft and expertise to respond to a variety of potential threats and situations,” he continued.

The radar-evading B-2 bombers are likely being used as a show of force to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been accused of fomenting unrest in eastern Ukraine after the Russia’s recent annexation of Crimea.

The Dutch government has confirmed that F-35 jets it plans to acquire may be equipped to carry nuclear weapons, Dutch News.nl reported on Tuesday.

Parliament in November signed off on a government plan to purchase 37 F-35As to replace the Dutch air force's aging fleet of nuclear-capable F-16s.

here is considerable Dutch public opposition to continuing to host U.S. nuclear weapons.

The Dutch government told parliament that it would still advocate for nuclear disarmament, while continuing to have an atomic responsibility for the present time.

The F-35A is slated to have a future capability to carry the B-61 bomb. However, some issue-experts think the U.S. Air Force is backing away from that plan.
