Die Tora (auch Thora, Torah; Betonung auf „a“, auf Jiddisch Tojre, auch Tauroh; von hebräisch תּוֹרָה ‚Gebot‘, ‚Weisung‘, ‚Belehrung‘, von jarah ‚unterweisen‘) ist der erste Teil des Tanach, der hebräischen Bibel. Sie besteht aus fünf Büchern, weshalb sie im Judentum auch chamischa chumsche tora ‚Die fünf Fünftel der Tora‘ genannt wird. Die griechische Bezeichnung ist Πεντάτευχος Pentáteuchos, lateinisch Pentateuchus, auchPentateuchum, deutsch Pentateuch. In den deutschen christlichen Bibelübersetzungen sind dies die fünf Bücher Mose.
