In the Netherlands, seeking to protect themselves from hackers, want to abandon the computer systems in the counting of votes in the elections.

The Dutch authorities intend to temporarily refuse the processing results of the parliamentary elections with the help of computer systems to prevent hacker attacks, said on Wednesday Agency associated press (AP).

“We can not allow the slightest impact on the results (of the elections – Interfax)”, – quotes Agency the words of the head of the foreign Ministry Ronald Plasterk.

The reason for this decision is that the system votes is much outdated and may, in the opinion of the authorities, be a target for hackers.

According to R. Plasterk, thus, the counting of ballots in polling stations will be done manually, notes AP.
